Love is a Curse

Love: a cruel and unfair curse.
The cursed shall watch as the pain in their hearts get worse.
Freedom becomes slavery, joy becomes sadness,
Jealousy leads to anger, and sanity is replaced by madness.

My self-esteem shrinks, and my heart fills with pain.
The tears from my eyes becomes rain.
The light turns dark, and my day becomes night.
I find these feelings impossible to fight.

Even though it's temporary, it takes forever to die.
I keep thinking I've been freed from this curse, but only to realize that it was a lie.
